Texas Motorplex tickets & upcoming events
If you’ve ever wanted to feel the thunder and smell the burnt rubber, Texas Motorplex in Ennis, Texas is the place to be. This legendary venue first made waves back in 1987 when it hosted the opening round of the NHRA Texas Fall Nationals. Fast forward to 1993, they upgraded to the Super-Track configuration, transforming the place into a true multi-purpose racing hub that can handle everything from high-octane drag races to thrilling drifting events. One of the coolest things about the Motorplex is how it keeps things fresh, in 2016, they hosted the popular NHRA Spring Nationals, and they often spice up the schedule with themed events that bring a whole new vibe. If you’re into the nitty-gritty, top eliminator reserved seats are gold, often giving fans a shot at meeting the drivers, which is pretty sweet. Pit-side seats? Oh yeah, you’re right there with the action, cheering alongside the racers as they blast down the track. Getting there isn’t too bad either, from Lubbock, hop on Route 84 east, jump on I-27, then cruise down I-20, or from Dallas, take US-175 south to I-45 and follow the signs. Whether you’re a die-hard drag race fan, love the adrenaline of live motorsports, or just want to soak in some Texas-sized fun, the Motorplex delivers. Trust me, some of the best memories are made right here during these wild, live shows.
